I’m delighted to hear it, but tbf Gary Sweet said more or less the same thing last summer, then played Nero and fiddled while Rome burned, even as we could all see it was falling apart at an ever-increasing pace.

Complacency cost us in Jan 24, again in pre-season 24/5, again in season 24/5.

The board may have understood this - that complacency was the issue - but they haven’t ever acknowledged it nor - so far - shown signs that it is no longer there.

And until they demonstrably do at least one - and preferably both - then many of us will continue to have little confidence.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating apparently, but we can’t see either a recipe or ingredients, let alone any sign someone is actually baking something.
