The momentum was lost, rather than building on that Brighton victory the transfer window closed and we had had no plan or intention to strengthen to try and stay up - I will maintain until my dying days that had we replaced TL and MN with experience and quality we had enough to stay up.

Agreed. Both needed replacing to stand any chance of staying up. We were asleep in not doing so.

[Just look at how much better we were that the three teams that went down this season, and we did that on relative shoestring. Such a shame these calls were so so wrong. And yes a fair few did call that out at the time.

[i]Also agree. That season was unprecedented in that 2 teams had points deductions. From memory at one stage we were 2? points away from Forest. If we'd brought a couple of decent players in we'd have caught them.

All frustrating ifs and buts now though unfortunately. Even last season lots commented worryingly on the recruitment, the pre season and the early season form and team selections and were jumped on as being negative moaners etc.

This season has to be better.
