this does hit on a major concern of mine though... i've been pretty active socially during all this but do have some stuff coming up in which it will be harder to distance from older adults. i do my best to find a balance because i don't want anyone around me burdened by my choices and risk assessment, but the possibility that i could be largely asymptomatic or presymptomatic yet communicate it to another still is weighing on me a bit. 28, just finished her first year of Residency.
She had rotations where she was on Covid ICU for a couple weeks at a time. Never an issue. She never had contact with the patients. They make the nurses don the PPE and go into the isolation rooms.
Got all the way through the Intern year. So the 3rd year Senior Residents are “graduating”, done with residency, off to start their real careers in a practice or what not around the country.
They have a party for the graduating residents. 15 doctors come down with the Roni from that gathering.
She said she had a mild headache and slightly fatigued for a couple days. Feels fine now, but has to stay quarantined until Monday. 🤷🏼♂️
