Transitional ejectors from the 1st type to the Banjo typeArchived Message

I have seen on occasion where the 2nd type of ejector banjo escutcheon is not quite refined yet, I have seen one shotgun with a round escutcheon and two screws and I own a pigeon gun built in 1901 that has a combination round with smaller tail escutcheon and two screws. Has anyone done any investigation on these changes? It would be interesting to see pictures of all the changes that took place during this transitional period. I will try to take pictures of my pigeon gun when I can figure out how to add them to this post. Thanks Ken
