    Thanks for the responses. The gun I was looking at is a auction and is identified as a field grade but is evidently a 1E. The barrel is clearly stamped 1E and the serial # is too early for a field grade. The side plates have some engraving but the design in the middle is a little different from other no.1's I have seen. Not quite as ornate. I now have noticed some white streaks inside the barrels any idea what might have caused that? Price on the gun is 6-700 and I probably won't do a real restoration if I get it just try to clean and shine some. Don't want to have a ton of money in it I can't get back if I decide to sell some years in the future but want to shoot it for now. Thanks for any response about the streaks.
