Gary, This is how the one I'm working now looks, it's a 00 1905 splinter forend. It still needs some work for other issues, but the screws are now tight and will not back out under use. I had a forearm repaired by a pro and the same problem occurred again after a couple of boxes of shells went through it. After installing the brass inserts the problem stopped. If you are willing to do a little woodwork, a Stevens 311 unfinished forearm will take the LC Smith forend iron with a little work, beavertail or splinter and are a lot easier to come by.
