Gentlemen, I keep snap caps in my (3) Elsies. The snap caps are "A-Zoom" brand. It appears the "firing pin" hole in the caps have a hard plastic in them where the firing pins strikes. The plastic in the snap cap firing pins is of course indented from the firing pins. My question is: When the plastic becomes formed (indented), do they still provide protection, or is it time for new or different snap caps ? After hunting or shooting, I always return the snap caps in the barrels and pull the triggers to un-cock the action. Thanks,Dan
