    I've seen some of the cut-a-away salesman samples but have never seen, nor have I heard of the existence of an L.C. try-gun; would be a very interesting discovery should an example surface. But realistically, since we already know that ALL L.C. Smith gun owners, professional circuit shooters or not, were superb scattergun marksmen who only required the standard Hunter Arms gun order form to obtain a gun perfectly proportioned to their individual shooting style; and as such was the case, it seem obvious to me that Hunter Arms therefore had no reason to absorb the unnecessary expense of building what would have been a useless implement.
