    Mike, that is a good question. In Brophy's book "L.C. Smith Shotguns" he states that he had never seen one but had seen drawings for a single barrel try gun. (pages 239-240)

    This would be an interesting topic as most of these shotguns were sold through hardware stores. In most catalogs, in the back had a page on dimensions that you filled in and the options you wanted and then I'm guessing, submitted it to the hardware store near you and they in turn mailed it to Hunter Arms or you mailed it. If the gun was made with any of the options available, these would be special ordered guns.
