I had asked Dan if he could send me a picture of the left lock and bottom of receiver. These engravings are by someone that knows dogs. The typical flat head. The gold setter is almost creeping as to get better scent. In the original pictures, I didn't see the other setter and hunter. What stunning engraving. The one picture of the LeFever with Glahn signed, the dogs do not look anything like this one. I don't know the timeframe for the LeFever and wonder if one of the sons did it. By looking at the hat and clothing of the hunter could be pre 1900. This is a Syracuse gun and from the serial number would be around 1887-1888.
