I have to agree that cocking the gun before opening is the way it should be done. How many guns have we seen with a cracked for-end that was due to not being cocked when it was taken apart. This is especially true with ejector guns.
In the first picture, at the bottom of the sentence it states that a small cocking tool was included with each gun.
