I'm looking to buy a pre 1913 Pigeon. It has a brass front bead (a replacement, I believe)and a mid bead that appears to be ivory. Because of the Ivory Import Ban, the dealer has put it, and all other guns with any ivory on hold until they develop a policy on ivory sales. They will sell the gun now with the ivory removed, but I'm waiting to see their Policy as I would like to keep it as original as possible. I may wind up buying it sans midbead if that is the only option. Those of you that have guns with any ivory, even as small as a midbead, that you may someday wish to sell, may want to research this issue as I believe it is a coming problem!!
