Ya, I was thinking that the varnish needs to be removed. It's a real basic brushed on job, kinda sloppy too. Looks like I can buy a buttplate and insert, that's nice. What do you think of the surface finish? Looks like it could be gone over with steel wool and put to a bench buffer to me. The barrel looks like the same. It looks old and cruddy but not bad, light corrosion in spots. Inside of barrels are shiny. What about the broken firing pin collar? any idea where a guy can get that?
