Marcus, you don't mention the make of the adapters you are trying. I uses a set of Briley reducers in a 12 ga. Ruger Red Label for a while. They had a single nylon inset that was supposed to hold the units in the chambers. I guess the chambers in my gun were pretty loose, as the adapters came out with with gun's ejectors nearly every time. Maybe the maker of your adapters can offer some advice. I would try experimenting with some O-rings on the outside of the forcing cone area of the adapter, to see if you can get a tighter fit in your chambers.
