If you can get good images of the serial number, the thing to do is have the LCSCA research division draft you a research letter. It's the best way to get the most concise information on the gun. It will also help at appraisal to have a research letter unique to the gun. It's $50 well spent. I did it on my grandfather's old Trap Grade hammer gun, and found out that it was one of four ever made with the particular barrels that it has. Hope this helps.
