Hi Tom,I have an LC Smith SBT 12 ga Olympic model. 32 inch barrel with rectangular rib supports and 2 ivories. It has a straight (english) stock with pachmyer rubber recoil pad. It has a wide Schnabel fore end with rectangular rolling escutcheon. Serial number S28674 which I think makes it a 1948 production year .Maybe one of the last produced before the factory collapse. No inlay . No pin near trigger. Removal of the recoil pad reveals a cylinder inserted in the stock hole. I assume this is some form of recoil reduction mechanism. By the way I may need a firing pin. Misfires every 5 rounds or so as evidenced by a lesser barely visible dent in primer. Any ideas on these last two bits of information? I am from Fulton , N.Y. and look forward to meeting other members including yourself at the Hunter Homecoming in August. I may be purchasing the background on this gun if you have more information than this.
