Eric. Tom Archer is correct. It is a Baker 'C' grade, hammerless boxlock made between 1897-1898 in Batavia,N.Y. It was the only boxlock Baker made and the first of a line of guns known as the Batavis grades. The serial number is in the correct block of numbers. The actual Baker guns had Batavia Hammerless and Batavia, N.Y. etched on the sides of the receiver. The patent date is for patent No. 303,411 issued to Henry Allender of Detroit,MI. Please post a picture. Thanks, John Houchins.
