Hi, I looked up my gun by serial number which is 97689, the chart says 1927. Problem is it is a number 1 grade as identified by the number 1 below the serial number on the reciever, also by me looking at the grading thing and seeing a match under number 1. The thing also says that the number system of grading was used before 1913. That is in conflict with the year given by the serial number chart. It is a 12 guage hammerless SXS. I have lost my forend and need to find another one. It would help if I new what I had before I started looking. Thanks! John
