I bought this double barrel today and can not positively place it. Serial No. comes up 1919, but does does not fit the descriptions/pictures. Here are a few photos to assist. R barrel marked "Damascus Steel Barrels.", L barrel marked "L. C. Smith, Maker, syracuse, N.Y." Serial No 18173. I guess you can see the big "2" under the serial no. on th e water table, but is the upper section is not visible it has "PAT'D MAR 29,83" "JULY 13,86" and "OCT 5,86" The inside of the hand guard has "PAT'D JUNE 1,80" on the inside. The butt place says "TRAP GUN" with a dog going after a falling duck. I would appreciate any help with a somewhat close date and style of this gun. Thanks for any reply.
