While I wholeheartedly agree that the gun marketed by Marlin now is not a classic LC Smith in any way, shape or form, my experience with Italian shotguns leads me to the conclusion that it may well be a perfectly fine weapon. The SxSs from Gardone Valtrompia are the best shotguns currently in production anywhere, in my opinion. It's a shame that the marketing folks at Marlin decided to give this particular shotgun a misleading name.
