Ralph: From your post, I get the feeling that you are less than thrilled with the "New L C Smith". This is the same gun marketed by Fausti Stephano and sold by Traditions. You are correct that it is a smith only in name. To the best of my knowledge there is one and only one REAL L C Smith in 28ga. These Marlin guns are only a marketing ploy to sell a fake sidelock gun using an American Classic Name. As the original L C Smith add states "The Gun That Speaks For Itself" and it aint in Italian.
