    I would suggest you double check chamber depth on this gun, as Smith 12 gauge guns were standard bored with 2 3/4" chambers. Some Smith guns were bored with 3" chambers; but those guns will be stamped with that information on the barrel flats (and those guns were manufactured to safely handle period 1 3/8 oz 3" loads, not the 2 oz. Roman candles marketed today). If your gun does have chambers bored out to 3 1/4", they are not original and you should have a competent gunsmith measure barrel wall thickness in the reamed out areas to insure these barrels retain enough integrity (steel) in those areas to shoot safely.
    At any rate, and assuming these barrels are safe, we suggest limiting loads to 1 or 1 1/8 oz. shot generating pressures of 8,000 PSI or less; not because a Smith gun with fluid steel barrels can't handle heavier loads, but because Smith stocks are pronce to suffer damage from the recoil of heavier loads.
