Thanks guys for the help. As for the 3 1/4'" length, that was my lack of understanding. I messured the length inside the chamber from the opening to the inside ledge assuming this might be the max length of shell. This is why I asked the questions, so I could learn about guns. I will definatley read more of this site. One more question though, my ignorance speaking again, does this mean I can shoot different length shells as long as they don't exceed 2 3/4" or must I only shoot 2 3/4' shells. It sounds like 2 3/4" shells are the only size made or pretty much the standard size shell manufactured. Again thanks for helping with the amunition issue. Ritch
