This is kinda OT but I thought I would share it with you.

I am also left eyed dominant and mostly right-handed for shotgunning; for some reason I would shoot rifles left-handed for resting shots and right-handed for quick shots. I used to live near Houston and read Bob Brister in the newspaper. I also got a copy of his book. And had started goosed hunting near Easgle Lake; grew up shooting quail.

But anyway, Bob had mentioned a guy who used BB gun for shotgun training; not sure if it was paper or book. I got a copy of this guy's book and bought a BB gun and removed the sights. I modified his system to work for me and started practicing shooting BB gun left-handed. Mostly shooting blades of grass and tips of leaves - stuff like that. I would also do mounting practice shooting same.

Anyway, after 2 years, of this type of practice. I would pick up the gun from the ground, shoot at a bird, put gun back down, and have no idea which hand I had shot with. I got to where I was almost totally ambidextrous. I still have a slight tendency to shoot right for very quick shots; but am more accurate shooting lefty. In three years time, I went from averaging 2 - 3 birds a day with 30 shots to 2 - 3 birds a day with 4 - 5 shots. I also switched to a O/U when I started BB gun practice. I got tired of coming home and having to clean out only 1 barrel. It took me a while to find a O/U with a very straight stock.

But here's a link to author's (Leon Measure) website for BB guns as shotgun shooting: http://www.shootwhereyoulook.com/
