    Rev,

That summery from Briley is as screwed up as hogan's goat!!!

I'm working from memory because I'm up here in Kodiak away from my research materials, but the old N.R. Davis company of Assonett, Mass., was bought into and eventually taken over by Warner Arms Corp. around WW-I time. They continued to operate as David-Warner and make N.R. Davis doubles up to the late 1920s/early 1930. Meanwhile, H&D Folsom owned and operated American Gun Co., Crescent Arms Co., and after 1919 Baker Gun Co. Along about 1930 H&D Folsom sold Crescent to Savage-Stevens that about that same time also bought Davis-Warner. Through the 1930s to the early 40s Savage/Stevens offered a line Crescent-Davis doubles even cheaper then their Springfield line.

    Dave
