    Thanks for the quick response. Now that I look at the stamping under the barrel, I can see it says "Armor Steel", it's just that the L is a little indistinct. I don't think the barrels have been re-blued. I know my dad hunted in the early 1950's but I don't think he ever used the gun during the last 30 years of his life. He died in 1991. My mother passed away about a month ago and I found the gun in a closet in a canvas gun case. The gun is spotless and looks to be in very good shape. I doubt that I'll ever use it as I have never hunted in my life, although I did go along with my father when he hunted when I was a kid. By the way I live in Eaton Ohio.
