Have added Dr Gaddy's example showing the production of '3 Iron Crolle' which helps understanding the process enormously. Have also modified the captions and believe everything is accurate. I'd REALLY like a detailed close-up of a 'Fine Damascus-Three Rod' brl from a pre-1913 Pigeon or No. 4 or pre-1892 Quality C or D hammer gun. I believe this should be '3 Iron Crolle' BTW: I've been through a bunch of threads on the PGCA Forum and they don't seem to know for sure what kind of damascus was used by Parker on the different grades. Like Lefever and Remington, each manufacturer had different names for the damascus they used, most of which came from Belgium.
