Jon, A couple of other options might be to buy a slip over type pad to see if you like the gun before investing a lot of money in the gun. You can also buy low pressure "spreader loads' That may possibly bring you down one choke instead of opening up those barrels. You can always take the choke out but you can't put it back in. I shoot a full/full all the time without any significant problems. You just can't shoot quail at 20 feet away! Regards, Mike
