I fear that the political correctness creeping into this post will eventually kill it. Alcohol is, without question, a real problem in our society and I can understand how someone could become sensitized to the issue. As an adult child of an alcoholic, I am too-painfully aware of it's public and private costs. However, the very people this post hopes to attract are into fine guns and/or hunting because they believe very-strongly in personal freedoms that are uniquely tempered with responsibility. I may be guilty of projection here, but I view my gun-ownership and hunting rights as a birthright, paid for dearly by the countless brave men(and women)of this country that have gone before me. The freedom to openly discuss (albeit, in good taste) the shooting and hunting lifestyle, in jest or otherwise, is just as much an important part of that birthright. Destry might run up against that good-taste line for some folks, but I don't see where he has ever crossed it. Much like the old guns we love, life is a gift that needs to be lived fully, not put on a shelf and just clinically discussed, and people like Destry bring a much-needed passion to this forum. I'm not an attorney, so I'm blissfully unaware of the requirements (and liabilities) of maintaining a site such a this, but... only a complete idiot would mistake Destry's tongue-in-cheek posts for an endorsement by this forum of the drunken use of firearms. And accordingly, no-amount of politically-correct editing will resolve the life-problems of such an individual. LM
