The problem with a hammer gun being made an ejector is the fact that the cocking rods are instumental in "telling" the ejector forend which barrel has been fired and thus needs to be ejected. Since there are no cocking rods on Smith hammer guns it would be quite an undertaking (although not impossible - Purdey does it) to convert a hammer gun to eject.
