Is your LC a hammer gun? If so, the serial # could indicate that it was built in 1923. The hammer gun was discontinued in 1932. If it is a hammer gun, there were two styles of hammer gunlocks, the smaller hammer being the later style. It could be an "F" grade with ejectors.
I am brand new to the world of L C Smiths, so my info may not be real accurate.
