Stocks for our "sweet elsies" rarely, if ever interchange simply or easily. Making stocks for sidelock guns is a labor of love or XXX$$$$. Getting a semi-inletted and fitting it is also lots of SKILLED work. Best advice I have is to find a good/reliable stock maker and buy the best wood one can afford and let the maestro do his/her work. Usually to take the rough blank to final sanding takes 40+ hours of labor. Best, DR. BILL
