Richard,The answer is yes.I would have your guns checked out by a Vintage Gunsmith.Deep pits in the bore are your worst enemy.I do not shoot Damascus or Twist in cold temps,35 or forty degrees or below.Several guns that folks have shot for years came apart at cold temps.Metal can become more brittle at cold temps.I know right now there are some that will disagree with my thinking,but that is my opinion from working with different steels for a living for a lifetime.Many in our club shoot cases of smokeless loads in these guns every year with no problem.Best of luck.Charlie.
