Richard, what I'm calling the trigger plate is really just the trigger itself.
The above picture shows the trigger (trigger plate) but the above is from a hammerless gun.
The other picture shows the hole in which the sear/s go through and you can see the trigger plate and the wear from the sear/s on them.
By taking the left lock off you should see through the hole how the right sear is fitting on the trigger plate by slightly squeezing the right trigger to see how much the sear is resting on the trigger plate.
