David I appreciate your help. I resolved my issue by placing a .021 spacer between the side plate and the piece that the sear point is against to hold the cocking back. Works great! BTW, it took me a day to get the screw that holds the plates together to grab on the right side.
Now all I have to do is get that forend back on without breaking something! If you can help I’d appreciate it.
