I think this writer doesn't know the meaning of "nebbish." The writer probably thinks it refers to any actor whose roles don't usually involve carrying a weapon or having blades emerge from his knuckles. So Jeremy, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant fit the writer's category, as opposed to Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, and Liam Neeson. But the physical attributes mentioned referred specifically to Matthew Beard who, at age 26, has about half Jeremy's body mass. Jeremy is a slim man, so that makes this guy pretty boyish.
