You can usually get out of it once without too much of a problem. I think I managed to re-arrange it from summer to late autumn with no bother.
I've done it twice in about 5 years which is pretty unusual but I really enjoyed it the first time and was desperate to do it again. It was boring as hell the second time round and was even cut short by a week.
