Anyone ever managed to get out of this? I’ve just been summoned for February next year but I really can’t afford to take that time off work.
They said they will pay me £64 a day for loss of earnings which is absolutely ridiculous. I’m a day rate contractor so I don’t get paid for being off. If I end up on a long case I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills or mortgage with the amount they offer. I’ve looked at just ignoring it as the maximum fine is less than the amount I would lose.
