In fairness to Garner, despite playing out of position he completely nullified James as an attacking threat. The issue was more that he has to stop and play inside on his right foot and leaves us looking unbalanced. You're right Pete, he's not a LB, but he was still amongst our better players tonight (not too hard) and largely did his job.

KDH was pretty disappointing for me. Slow at times to react and see things. As poor as Beto was, our creative players never looked like playing him in behind.

I'd have played McNeil tonight, and put Garner as deep CM, behind Gana. Tim O isn't ready for a starting place yet imo. Team balance would have looked far better, just not quite so sure how McNeil would have coped with Dan James half as well as Garner did.
