I cycle a lot and I have a CUBE Hybrid but I got this to add to that rather than replace it. My daughter is 6 now and just learned to ride her bike but she can't go long distances or anywhere on the roads etc yet so this is to get us back out together with the child seat on. Lugging a 6 year old up hills as a 50 year old is just not good for my heart lid and takes the fun out of it. We've got miles and miles of coastal paths here and I reckon I could pack us a tent on this too for some adventures.
