We've finished in the top half once this decade.

We don't get to cup finals or even semis, 2 European campaigns in the last 10 years.

Of course top European players would be hesitant to join us.

Similar to how top players wouldn't be falling over themselves to join Real Sociedad.

We haven't reached a cup final in 16 years.

We either need to pay the eye watering wages that will get us financially fucked again (we really should not do that). Or accept we need to target players who see us as a step up and want to prove themselves.

I'd try and get the best young players from the Championship personally.

Rather that Europa/Champions League players who act like they're doing you a favour by signing for you.
