Can anyone help with this query.

I have a William John Edmends Parker his birth is registered in Dec Qtr 1841 in Newton Abbot, I cannot find a Baptism although both his brothers were baptised as Wesleyan Methodist in Teignmouth Devon. He is the son of Joseph Warren Parker and Jane Monk.

A William Parker showing on the 1851 and 1861 census with his parents Joseph and Jane Parker. When searching for further I find a marriage for a William Warren Parker to Emma Webber in 1867 Father given as Joseph Parker.

My problem is on the marriage entry the name is William Warren Parker age given as 24 years which puts his birth around 1843, I cannot find a birth entry for him and I cannot find a death entry for the William John Edmends Parker born in 1841.
His maternal grandmother was an Edmonds and his maternal great grandmother was a Warren so either middle name fits.

I have searched the GRO indexes and also the parish burial registers for West Teignmouth the area where William J E Parker’s family lived, I have also searched the GRO Indexes and parish baptism registers for William W Parker with no success.
Has anyone any suggestions of how I work out if they are different people or the same one who just changed his name.
