Re: Tuckers"
Thanks Karen for coming back to me and for looking. Yes I would dearly love to find a bapt for Thomas and I was hoping that Jane dau to William and Susannah of Colebrook was sister to Thomas. Little bits but sadly no connection. A lady who found the birth of Maria dau of Thomas and Susanna also found Jane Tucker who marr Wm Hoades(variations on name) in 1851 they were living in Sutton Place. So I was hoping that Thirza might have been with them when she died. this could have been a connection to Thomas. If Thirza was sent to live away from family wouldnt it have been someone who was family close friend. The Susannah Tucker marr to William of Colebrook she died at Ridgeway and I thought this was a workhouse in Plympton. Anyway I have tried to find connection to Westcotts with Mary Ann who informed of deaths of two girls, and Jane Westcott who Thomas marr in 1850 after his wife died, short time. Again I cannot get connection. George Westcott marr Matilda Elizabeth Bath 7 Feb 1832 he must have died between 1845 and 1850 as in 1851 Matilda marr to George Greenslade was living in Vauxhall Street, with William Westcott stepson age 14 a lathmaker same as his dad, George age 8 and Thomas age 7. So whether dad George Westcott died of Cholera aswell but Matilda didnt waste time getting marr again. I cannot find them after 1851 census Mary Ann was living with the Carys so again no connections for my Thomas which is what I have been trying to find. Jane Hoades had son Henry B.1840 in Colebrook he enlisted in Navy and I dont know what happened to Jane and William. Guess lots of people moved out of Plymouth after Cholera. Hope this all makes sense and why I am looking for William Tucker cordwainer the father of my Thomas. Thanks again for your help and thoughts. Sue.
