I had a look at William Tuckers who were cordwainers and were living in the Plymouth area in 1841 and 1851.
There is a family from Moreleigh, but I am not sure there is a conncection there.
I found a marriage for a JANE TUCKER to WILLIAM HOATES (sometimes spelled HOADES/HODDS) in 1838. In 1851, she gives her birthplace as Ridgeway, Devon. She is born c 1808.
I think she must be the daughter of William and Susannah Tucker, baptised in Plympton St Mary in 1811 (born in 1808 according to entry in register).
Ridg(e)way is a small village in the Plympton area, as is Colebrook, I believe.
There is no record of a baptism of a Thomas to this couple, but perhaps they moved around.
