But through the many excellent threads below where we investigated so many aspects of the ceremony in detail, I became convinced that the entire ceremony is religious. Perhaps just 80-90% maybe but the coronation as such is derived from a religious characteristic of ancient society.

I feel that once any specific element is placed under a microscope of the brutal gaze of the media, social and otherwise, then other elements would be dissected, one by one, such that the entire ceremony could disintegrate.
