I accept that there are religious reasons for not having a second coronation for an individual monarch within the framework of the Church of England - and perhaps even within the tenets of other Christian churches. I don't have sufficient knowledge about the law of various Christian churches.
Because some Sacraments can be preformed multiple times (for example Baptism) I am eager to read Merlin's explanation of why it would be blasphemous for a monarch to have two (or more) coronations - presumably within the Anglican church and/or the Church of Scotland.
I think my life would be simpler if I understood more about theology and canon law - if I can use the latter term for the Church of England
