Nellie, I don't see there being any chance that the next coronation is held at St Paul's. Firstly, it's a cathedral church (in this case London) and not the Royal Peculiar with centuries of association with the Crown. Secondly, it's the wrong shape: look at a floor plan and you'll see what I mean. The Abbey was built specifically in an odd way with the Quire west of the Crossing to provide the central space necessary. That space between High Altar and Quire does not exist in St Paul's.
Additionally, technology has moved on and it will be easy to throw up the necessary seating in the Abbey in not much more than a fortnight. Conservation was at the fore during the 20th century and has only got better, so that's not a problem either.
The Abbey seats over 8,000 at a coronation; St Paul's can manage 2,500 on its floor.
Really, the only person with a good argument for shifting it away from the Abbey is Anne of Cleves!
