The rule about unmarried ladies and tiaras was also broken in 1948 and 1953 when Princess Margaret wore the halo tiara to Queen Juliana's installation and the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. She even wore the Poltimore tiara before she married. I think Princess Mary and Princess Margaret and the little princesses all looked perfect for their ages at the coronations they attended. It was Princess Alexandra who could have used a nicer coronet, but without tiara.
