930 WKBM, 1030 WNVR, 1110 WXES, 1280 WBIG, 1330 WKTA, 1340 WJOL, 1410 WRMN, 1430 WEEF, 1490 WEUR, 1510 WWHN, 1570 WBGX, 1590 WCGO don't cover the entire area, and some are very narrow in the slice of the pie that works. At night, before dawn, lousy signals.
Years ago, I'd read or heard on the radio of people complaining they couldn't hear 560 WIND or 1000 WMVP after pattern changes at night.
Too, now, with Chicago a much bigger area than 1965, '75, '85, '95, '05, '15....the FM signals are possibly not even covering the whole metro, in my mind.
Too, I was surprised to read on a different board, that the ratings were all super low (1.0, 1.5 or less, in the San Francisco market,) while in Canada, there are stations in the Top 3 usually.
Too, while in Wisconsin, I hear WLTH on dx. Sounds like they are simulcasting 1500 WAKE of recent. When on Broadway, in 1969, got a tour of the station, from the late Dale Dawson. Nice!
What I really miss is 1570-WBEE 1470-WMPP WVON-1450, 950-WGRT. All of these were good.
Hope I didn't blather too much. Interesting stuff!
