You all are really off base about the success of the format. Jammin Oldies was a limited playlist (but what terrestrial format isn't?) It was established that it was eating into sister station formats, majority owned by whatever they were at the time, now iHeart. The downside of owning 5 stations in the market is stepping to o much on another format that is more legendary and might bill more too due to it. The format could have evolved into the mid to late 70s and beyond. There was a lot of Urban material into the late 80s and early 90s..... oh that is called Urban AC (V103) :-)
